To avoid duplication of efforts and effectively address low-emission and climate resilient development in 8 project countries, Urban-LEDS II coordinates with a number of EU and non-EU initiatives implemented either within these countries or on a global scale, with relevance and significance to the project goals and vision. It is important to ensure that local climate action under Urban-LEDS II is compatible with, complementary to, and in some ways an “enabler” for accelerating action in the project cities. Many synergistic approaches began under Phase I of the Urban-LEDS project and continue to deepen in Phase II.
